Atomic Talent is seeking a Project Quality Manager with a mechanical bias for a highly successful client providing plant design and installation services to a number of sectors.
The role and responsibilities
The Project is based on one of Europe’s most highly regulated sites and involves the design and installation of mechanical plant. The Project Quality Manager will assist in the day-to-day management and improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO-9001, and other site-based quality systems and regulations.
The purpose of the role:
- To provide a focal point for internal and external matters relating to Quality, Compliance, and Certification.
- Assist in maintaining, managing, and improving the Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of BS-EN-ISO-9001 and other quality management standards and specifications.
- Oversee the generation and maintenance of company procedures and records ensuring compliance with the latest standards and specifications.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement at all levels using relevant quality problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, 5s, etc.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure effective, corrective, and preventative actions are taken.
- Raise, monitor, and proactively close out Non-Conformances within the project and the supply chain.
You will be responsible for:
- Determining the inspection, testing, and compliance regime to be applied to a project by reference to the project specifications and associated documents.
- Resolving any anomalies contained within the project documentation, with the end client.
- Compile and approve project quality plans, inspection, and test plans for the execution of a project and client approval.
- Support the Supply Chain in the evaluation of key suppliers ensuring compliance with company requirements.
- Generate company and supplier quality documentation, resolving any issues arising through to client acceptance.
- To investigate, resolve, and implement corrective/preventative actions relating to quality issues.
- Continually improve the quality of products and services offered by the company.
About You
- Ideally DV cleared, or minimum SC clearance
- Experienced with LTQRs, NCRs, and Auditing in a nuclear environment
- Experienced with plant modification in a highly regulated environment
- You’ll be experienced working within a design and build environment
- Educated to degree/HND level or with equivalent relevant experience in Quality Assurance
- Potentially chartered, or working toward.
