HVAC Engineer (Design)
Atomic Talent are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HVAC Engineer (Design) to work with an industry leading organisation, based in Birchwood, working on major projects in the Nuclear sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an understanding of design development, procurement, testing and commissioning to work with a team of talented Mechanical Design Engineers delivering full lifecycle design packages for bespoke, and high value, engineering projects in highly challenging nuclear environments.
The role
The team is highly successful and work across a number of high value projects on a variety of UK and global nuclear sites. Your focus will be to deliver an exceptional level of quality design through your own personal expertise, solid stakeholder management and the provision of expert advice to colleagues, clients and sub-contractors. The role requires hands-on engineering with an exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take a project from early concept stage through to detail design and design for manufacture. It requires a working understanding of design documentation, flow sheets, equipment specification and calculations etc and will entail design substantiation. A good understanding of budget and engineering timelines is essential.
About you
Ideally Degree qualified and a Chartered Engineer (or with demonstrable equivalent experience), you will already be working in a highly regulated industry and experienced working on large, multi-discipline projects.
Ideally, you’ll understand the full design lifecycle and be experienced delivering HVAC design specifically for the nuclear sector. You will have experience in planning and estimating HVAC projects and be able to communicate project progress at client level.
